Innovation Hubs focus our work in local communities where we engage in deep and strong partnerships.
Our Innovation Hub countries are the places where LitWorld invests most deeply, centering our resources and establishing physical spaces for the work to grow. Side-by-side with our on-the-ground partners, we work to improve community-wide outcomes in literacy, personal empowerment, and inter-generational leadership and civic engagement around reading and writing.
Innovation Hub spaces include lending libraries and technology labs, which allow us to give children and local education leaders access to books, guided reading, community-building programming and technology time. Our team incubates and pilots new programs in our Innovation Hub countries, including LitClubs for mothers that combine literacy and life skills and Story21, a family-oriented LitClub that integrates technology and traditional reading and writing. These pilots lead to replicable models that can spread to additional programming sites.
Our Innovation Hubs have allowed us to double the number of children and families reached in each country over the past two years. LitWorld creates sustainable, lasting change by focusing on building communities that value reading, writing, creative expression and equal learning opportunities. Growing the work in our Innovation Hub regions allows us to support the many layers of literacy need in each community and offer programs that include and engage all ages, genders and demographics.
