The HerStory Campaign supports girls in creating lives of freedom and fulfillment.
The HerStory Campaign is a joint initiative created by the non-profit 501(c)3 organizations Global G.L.O.W. and LitWorld. The Campaign is a powerful pairing of on-the-ground programming in 25 countries, working side- by-side with local partners and authentic media messaging. Together, we listen, we share and we respond to the urgency of girls’ lives and stories. We invite everyone to join with us to make the HerStory Campaign a worldwide movement.

Stand Up for Girls on October 11th
Stand Up for Girls is an annual day of action in honor of the International Day of the Girl, which happens on October 11th. On this day we mobilize our HerStory community and supporters to host Story Summits, local events led by trained mentors and volunteers that allow women and girls to share their stories and learn from one another's experiences. Together we raise our voices on behalf of all the world's girls so that they can build fierce, fearless futures, lit from within.
Check out our activity packets for how you can get involved and Stand Up on October 11th!
Global HerStory Summit 2017
The Global HerStory Summit (GHS) is a week-long annual conference held in New York City, in partnership with UN Women as part of the United Nations annual meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women.
The 2017 GHS invites teams of women and girls from LitWorld and Global G.L.O.W. communities around the world to come together and create Action Plans for Change. If chosen to participate in the GHS, HerStory Ambassadors will develop and build upon the Action Plans during the summit, returning to their home communities with blueprints for positive and impactful change driven by women and girls.
The week will be full of storytelling and arts workshops, opportunities to build new friendships and deepen our global HerStory network, visits to iconic sites in New York City, and the chance to make a big, innovative, actionable plan for the change you wish to see in your community!
The application process has closed. Selected participants will be contacted before October 30th.
