The 2012 Global Poem for Change

Tell me what you care about, ask me who I am

Tell me where the future lies, look into our hands

You are the inspiration, to a world so in need of you,

Fascinate them with expressions of wondrous words anew.

Tell me of your passion, tell me of your heart

Tell me what you'll share, tell me what's your part

Show me where you're going, show me how you'll fly

Show me where you're heading you can do it if you try.

Dreams of helping others? Reaching out your hand?

Dreams of building bridges? Help me understand.

Tell me what you're doing, tell me what you see

Tell me what you're living, tell me what you need.

Speak out loud for all to hear, so those who will listen can set free their fear.

We all live here on Earth together

With arms outstretched, reach for the bright star above.

Together we will find a way; together we will reach the stars

Tell me your dreams, and tell me your sorrows

Tell me why you're crying, tell me why you fear

Tell me why you're hating, tell me why you cheer

I miss my grandmother's blue, blue eyes.

I wish for the magic in her eyes to stay with me and our children and their children, always.

I’m missing those who’ve gone from me, though they feel so near

I’m missing doing lots of things when I live in fear

I’m dreaming of a better world where what we do is care

I’m dreaming of a fairer place where everyone will share

Live using your senses

Guard the memories

Find the speck of dust

Transform our Universe

I'll tell you what I'm thinking, tell you what I miss

Tell me how you're feeling, be it pain or bliss

Let me hear your secret, I promise not to tell

Tell me what you're hoping, tell me what exists.

Tell me about that sleepy smile that rests on your face at night

Tell me of your heart that soars as you watch your dreams take flight

Find someone to whisper it, tell it soft and low

Let the world lean on in and let the dreaming go

Ask me why I'm helping, ask me why I care.

Ask me why I'm watching, ask me why I stare.

Tell me all your secrets, all your little lies

Tell me why you're different and what you have inside

Tell me of your wings, tell me what you've hoped

Tell me where have you been, tell me where you’ll go

I’m thinking that doing just a little can mean an awful lot

I’m thinking we have to realise just how much we’ve got

Tell me what you're reaching, tell me how you dare

Tell me what you're feeling, tell me how you care

I’m wishing for all those I love to live in peace and health

I’m wishing this far more than wishing on them wealth

I had a dream, the world would be a team with peace and love for all

If only the world could be a better place for all

Irrespective of color, race or creed

Indeed put an end to greed

Your words are like a heart-made gift

That bring me to the world you live

Share with me what's in your heart, trust me to understand

Open to me your heart’s content and I’ll show you too what’s mine

We’ll call for all the other people

Until the world will have a heart that beats as one.

I wish for global understanding and dream

That the love of reading will reach every boy and girl on earth

Listen to your friends, listen to their words

Listen to others, listen to chirpings of birds

Time be my friend, age be my strength

Allow moments to endure

Tell me what you're seeking, tell me what you need,

Unfurl the buds of your dreams and you might

End up seeing the world in a whole different light

Equality for all in our world.

Oh tell me with a metaphor

Please tell me in rhyme,

Tell me with a parable

Take your precious time.

Tell me what you're made of, tell me what you know

Tell me where your path lies, tell me where you'll go

Believe we can be someone the world would be happy to see

Believe we will grow in freedom the world with you and me

Tell me what you’re wanting to be heard, tell me how to hear

Tell me, together we can change, tell me when and now,

Tell me to think green, tell me and show me how.

Let the sound of children's laughter add years to our lives

Tell me you're believing in a dream not yet realized

Do you see beauty, do you see light?

Do your dreams take you on journeys each night?

I'm dreaming of a peaceful life and a world in which there is no strife.

I will always listen, I will always care.

You can always trust, that someone will be there.

Show me your experience, even just a jist

Show me your writing, it's a path to bliss

Tell me about everything, tell me what you want to say.

There’s a world out there waiting for all of us, a world wanting to be discovered.

I dream that every boy and girl had parents who leaned into learning

I wish that when they faced the wind, the leaning would give strength to the yearning

Tell me all about you, tell me your history.

Each one of us has a past,

And will have a bright future.

Anything is possible, listen to your heart.

I'll tell you what I'm thinking: I'm tired of all this strife

Right/left, pro/con, fear of change in this life

One of us is all of us; I am because you are.

Tell me what you're reading, tell me what you aim

Tell me what you're preaching, tell me what you do

Let equal opportunities prevail

To sustain this change; our wish, our desire!

Tell me, in the darkest of nights, tell me what you're seeing,

On the furthest shores, tell me what your vision was

I dream of a world with green leaves and blue moons

Pursue your dream, believe in life - share happiness instead of strife.

Let not the will of others cloud the choice you make.

Let love guide your actions; never spite never hate.

Your heart can hold more love than a tornado can stand

Tell me what you're seeing; tell me what you learn

Tell me what you're missing; tell me what you yearn

Tell me how your day has been, in 20 words or less.

Great thanks, this poem is the BEST.

Tell me about future, just as real as all this!

Make your heart a seed, and this is just the start,

Make your heart the seed and watch new trees grow.

I wish for no poverty; it's so very snotty.

The end of the story is never the end of the story

A world full of knowledge, wonder and excitement,

With friendships abound, and amazing enticement

Tell me where this world is going, tell me where it lies

So tell me that you're up for change, that you want to raise the bar.

Young boys, young girls, put out all the stops, win your battle

Learn to love reading for it will help you end your struggle

Get off to a good start when speaking what’s on your mind

You’ll go places someday. Get laud! LitWorld is just behind.

You and I may be far apart

But through our poem, heart-to-heart

We miss the days of dreaming, lying in a field

Those simple days of reading, when time was slow or still

Have you dreamed of traveling to places far away?

Have questions kept you up at night with fear no words can say?

I tell you my heart aches, longing for you

Longing for the time being with you

What I'm thinking, I never know cause my

Mind can never focus on one thing

What I miss is my family!

Being the castaway gives me the

homesick feeling everyday

Your presence is what I miss; you're special, you’re unique

Sadness is a disease, happiness is the cure

Joy is like an angel, always clean and pure

Always be sure, always be kind

Think what you want and your heart will be pure.

What I dream is beyond me, my imagination is wide

Which takes me on plenty of rollercoaster rides

That make me sweat when I wake

REACH for your DREAM.... it's never too late

Tell me what you long for, tell me what you know.

Tell me where you've traveled, tell me where you'll go.

Share your deepest yearning, the places you have seen

I am dreaming of wonderful wishes for the children of the world.

Don't ever say NO! Always say YES!

Don't be afraid to dream, don't be afraid to guess

Something that I dream of, something that I wish

Is to be a super star and have a jacket that goes swish, swish.

I also like the lights, camera action

I would love to be a superstar, I wish, I wish, I wish

I am thinking about love, happiness and someone special

They’ve been in my head the whole day, I can’t get them out.

I miss that person and I dream with them every night.

I wish they would be with me forever, right by my side.

I wish that I could graduate from the grades I have left and college

Then have a really successful life and live every second of my life.

I wish that I made it in the MLB, or a football or basketball team.

I wish I will pass and get an education, I wish I was rich and cool.

I’m thinking to be in the MLB

I am missing my mother when I am in school

I was dreaming about my dad playing baseball

I wish I could be in the MLB

Tell me what you love, tell me what you know.

Tell me what you need, tell me what you feel

Tell me what’s the deal, tell me if its real.

Tell me what excites you, tell me.

What I think is telling me what I had missing

What I dream is my memory.

What I wish isn’t important to my thoughts or my dream

Tell me what has changed, tell me all your pains

Tell me this is a dream, tell me what it seems.

Tell me what you got, tell me what you like to do.

Tell me what’s right and I’ll tell you what’s wrong.

I am thinking about basketball

I wish that school was over

I am dreaming about fun

I miss my granddad.

I see the darkness under your skin

Ready to jump and see your pain

I see you when you’re crying so I give you my heart

And I take you tears and turn them into kisses

I see you act like something you’re not.

But the people you act for will not be there forever

So rip it out and show them your wings,

Yes, baby fly away.

So I may say “I can’t see you”

But I miss you. I can’t hug you.

But I love you so make me happy

And fly like my beautiful dove.

It hurts to be away from my sweet baby girl,

I miss her dearly,

I wish mothers could stay home longer with newly born children,

I dream of her smiling when I come home.

I think about and miss my grandfather,

Along with dreaming and wishing he was still by my side.

I'm thinking of a perfect world, I'm missing my grandpa

I'm not dreaming I'm doing, I'm wishing for a happy life.

Thinking how life is stressful, missing my loving grandma.

Dreaming of the near future, Wishing for an easy way out.

How's vacation, grandma? Wish I came. I'm thinking about your call.

Call soon. Dreaming about your return. I miss you.

Tell me what you're thinking, is it love, I fear?

Tell me what you miss, is it my voice, you hear?

I’m thinking, missing, dreaming, wishing for my heart that has disappeared.

Will you find it and give it back ASAP?

When you sleep, when you dream, do I cross your thoughts?

I dream of you, I wish, wish that you would

Would just say that, that you love me too!

Now tell me what you miss, for a longer relationship we should of fought.

I'm thinking about then, missing what was there

I'm dreaming of him, I wish that it was fair

I wish I could stop myself from dreaming and thinking

About how much I miss your smile and laughter.

Tell me all your strengths, tell me all your fears

Tell me how you feel after all these years

I’m thinking of racing down the road

Thinking of that day again, missing that

Please rewind

Tell me your desire, tell me what’s next

Tell me no lies, show me no hate

I can tell you're far away, I see it in your eyes

Dreaming you were with me, wishing you were my love.

I'm thinking about my future

And I’m missing my past,

I'm dreaming of fantasies

And I’m wishing they would last.

I wish every baby a kind and loving home,

Clean food and water, and lots of room to roam.

I wish children's real needs were met,

Not left for angry gods and governments to forget.

Tell me what you’re doing, tell me what you wish

I am dreaming to change the world

I am wishing for world peace that is what I need

I'm dreaming to end world hunger.

Tell me what you’re doing, tell me what you do

Tell me what you need, tell me what you know

Tell what you achieve, tell me your wishes

What I wish is world peace, if it comes true I'll be happy

I wish that I were rich, I wish to sing

To be a baseball player playing at the Yankee Stadium

I am thinking to be a soccer player not a mayor.

I am thinking to be the best soccer player or be in a good team and win.

Tell me what you like, tell me what you miss

Tell me what you wish, tell me what you want to achieve

Tell me what you love, tell me what you want

Tell me what you’re doing, tell me what you write

Tell me what you’re wanting , tell me what you get

Tell me what you need, tell me what you have

Tell me what you love, tell me what you do always

Tell me what you’re reading, tell me what you understand

Tell me what you wish, tell me what you need

Tell me what you’re singing, tell me what you hope

Tell me what you’re wishing, tell me what you want

Tell me what you’re enjoying, tell me you like

Tell me what you’re saying, tell me what you pray

Tell me what you have, tell me why you like life

Tell me what you like doing, tell me how you feel,

Tell me if you hurt, tell me what it feels like to be loved

Tell me what you like, tell me how you feel

Tell me who you love, tell me why you hate

Tell what you like doing, tell me what you do.

Tell me what you want to be, tell me where you’d like to travel

I am thinking that every person should be educated equally

I miss my sister because it has passed 1 year before seeing her

I am dreaming that one day I will achieve my dreams.

I wish that one day the world changes to a wonderful one.

Tell me what you like, tell me what you hate.

Tell me what you feel, tell me who you love.

Tell me what you read, tell me why you like being a girl

Tell me what you like doing, tell me what you’ll be when you grow up

I am thinking of how to improve on my studies and talent

I miss visiting my aunt who is in Sudan

I am dreaming of becoming someone important in life

I wish to be a good parent in the future

Tell me what you are, tell me what you like.

Tell me what you do, tell me what you enjoy

Another day of sunshine, another day of light

Another day to kiss the world, and keep on making it bright!

If you think a thought, think it with all your might

If you dream a dream, we hope it will come true.

Tell me what you're thinking, tell me what you know

Tell me what's your passion, tell me what you hope for

Children at my knee, jubilant stories flow

Adults seeing eye to eye, seeking truth to grow

Tell me what you need, tell me what you want.

Maybe I can grant your wish, so you won't need much more.

Tell me what you hope, tell me what you need,

And I will be there as a good deed.

Tell me what you're learning, just give me a clue.

Tell me what changes you can make, today and tomorrow too.

Tell me if you're happy, tell me if you're sad.

Tell me if you're annoyed, tell me if you're glad!

Tell me what you're feeling, tell me what you ponder.

Tell me what you’re reading, tell me what you wonder.

Tell me why there's hate, cause I think hate is wrong.

Why should we debate, instead we should write a song.

Tell me what you love, tell me that you care

I hope you find your way around this world,

You can make a change if you want to.

Help others, and they can be like you.

Tell me what you're feeling, tell me what you see.

Tell what you're dreaming so you can be want you want to be.

I see my students graduating. I wish them the best.

I dream of them caring, I think they will pass the test

Tell me what you're reading, tell me what you love to do

And maybe we can all be friends too.

A friendship has gotten me thinking, it's my friend I dearly miss

Memories with meaning, true friendships for others I wish

Be free like a butterfly, fly like a bird

Tell the whole world what you have heard

I am thinking that I miss seeing crystal clear, clean waterways.

I am dreaming of safe and clean streams where the butterfly plays!

Tell me what you've witnessed, tell me what you live

Tell me how to make the dreams, the hopes, the maybes of your life

A simple smile on your face makes my world a better place

but when you frown, my feelings go down

Is the whistling wind, calling out for you,

Does the ocean hum in Green instead of Blue?

Ask me what colors does my day to day provide.

Ask me how I use this paint to dream of other sides.

Tell me what you're hoping, tell me what you list

A single voice of love to spread across the wondrous world

A friend, a laugh, a choice, for every boy and girl

Remember, remember, remember how love feels!

In the coolness of the morning or the brightest light of day,

What stories are you building, what poems will you play

I'm wishing for a better world, for the children of tomorrow

I'm dreaming of a worldwide peace so there will be no sorrow

Tell me how to feel it, tell me how to be

Tell me what to do, show me how to see

If we take time to stop, look and listen to one another,

Understanding would grow for each sister and brother.

Tell me what you're pondering, tell me what you feel.

Tell me when you're feeling down so I can raise that frown.

Uncharted territory, leading to a safe harbor

The light will guide the way.

Tell me what you need; tell me is it this?

The world is too big for anything to be missed.

When your world feels too much to bear,

Pick up a book and steal away.

Tell me how to help, tell me what you need.

Tell me how to be there, tell me how to set you free.

Tell me who you love, tell me what you hear,

Tell me that you miss me, and I'm sure I'll be there

I am thinking of life and all of its cool bliss,

I miss my old home in Texas,

I'm dreaming of the stars that bring life and death,

I won't tell you my wish because that's a secret

Tell me what your name is, tell me what you do

Tell me what you need, tell me what you want,

Ask me if you need anything, you’re the one that needs me,

Tell me that you need me, I'll help you to get what you need.

Tell me if you remember, tell me if you care.

Tell me if I'm crazy, tell me if you're really there.

Your smile changed me and I want you to be right by my side.

If you are not right by my side, I will cry forever

Tell me where you're going, maybe you'll make it.

Tell me how you feel, tell me what's the deal.

Tell me what you want, tell me where you've been

Tell me if you're okay, tell me what you're doing

Tell me what you're imagining, tell me what you see.

Tell me what you're living for, tell me what to be.

I'll tell you what you're missing, if you tell me what you hate.

I'll tell you what you can do, if you tell your wish and fate.

Speak of what you're grieving, speak of what you miss

Speak of what you're deceiving, speak of what you wish

I'm thinking of the bad and good, that is what I miss.

I'm dreaming about the good, and that's what I wish.

Tell me what you're seeing, tell me what you don't.

Tell me what you're saying, I'll tell you what I won't.

Tell me what you need, so go ahead tell me.

Tell me what you want, and I will have it be.

Tell me where you're going, tell me what you see.

Tell me all your memories, tell me if you believe,

This insane story, of love and tragedy;

The story of you and me.

Tell me about everything, forgetting is a sin.

Don't tell me you can't, tell me you that can.

Tell me what you're dreaming, tell me what you see?

A world of wonders, just right in your sleep

Explain how you are feeling, explain what's in your heart

Explain how life is, but don't explain too much

I've been thinking, I've been dreaming, that I can be what you miss.

That I can be your last kiss, can't you see that's my only wish.

Tell me what you're doing, tell me what you did.

Tell me where you're going, tell me where you've been.

But if live was as simple as this poem, we did.

Tell me what you're feeling, tell me "how's your day?"

Tell me how to make the world, a better place to stay.

I'm thinking what comes next, I'm missing yesterday.

I'm dreaming of tommorow, and wish of a new day

Show me your emotions, show me what you feel.

Show me your devotion, show me that you're real.

Teach me your voice, teach me what you will

Teach me about your choice, teach me about your skill.

Tell me all your secrets, tell me your desire.

What do you regret? What do you admire?

Listen to my story, listen to my life.

Take me to the blind story, with a single bladed knife.

I'm thinking that I love you, you're the one I miss.

I'm dreaming of that moment, when we share our first kiss.

Tell me what you're chasin, tell me what you want.

Tell me what you're looking for, that maybe I have found.

Let's join our dreams together, linking hands across the world.

Let's give all children everywhere the chance to learn to read.

There’s magic sparkling everywhere that children’s fists are curled

Around a story – theirs or yours or mine – the soul to feed.

I dream that we will understand

The need to hold each other's hand,

To spread the wealth and share the love

To live for those here, not what might be above.

Say what you want, say what you mean.

Say what you have, say what you need.

What is your sorrow, what is the reason for your tears?

Why are you dreaming of what is not meant to be

I'm thinking of the world, I miss how it was beautiful.

I dream of those days, under the cracked moon.

Those days when I thought I knew what I wanted,

When I thought my thoughts were mine.

Tell me what path you choose, tell me where you plan to go.

Show me what your future holds, show me what you know.

I wish it was nice right now, this environment is getting bigger.

Now that we are caring for it, I am beginning to love.

Tell me you can fly, tell me you can fly by on a plane, in a car

Tell me where you are. Tell me about your life, tell me if it’s happy.

Tell me about today, tell me about your future.

Tell me what you will be, your journey is a prize to me.

Tell me if you are smart, tell me if you have a heart.

Tell me if you go, show me if you'll know.

Tell me how you are felling, tell me what you can do to make a change for me.

Tell me where you go in the times of sadness.

Tell me about your future, tell me what you see.

Tell me what you do, tell me what you will be.

Tell me what you love, tell me about your family.

Tell me your life will be full of glee.

Tell me what you know, tell me what you hear.

All the differences here or there.

All the changes need to happen.

Do you know where to go?

I am thinking of a horse, I miss my dog peanut.

I am dreaming about a fishy, I wish I could see the world.

Tell me what you're doing, tell me what you're playing.

Tell me what you're feeling, tell me what you want.

I'm thinking about my future, I will miss Ms. Lindsey after 5th grade.

I'm dreaming about what my future will be,

Frantically thinking about the Regents

I wish to be a straight A student.

Changing is living, because we care.

Changing is loving, because we dare.

I know the world can change, I see it everyday.

If well all work together, if we all pray.

Tell me what you know, tell me what you do.

Tell me what you love, tell me who you meet.

Tell me what you want to be changing, tell me how.

Tell me what you want to be doing, it's okay if you tell me now.

Tell me what your felling, just let me know .

I want to plant more trees, and to help then grow.

We can help with changing, we are the change.

We can be uplifting, because we fight for change.

Tell me what you're looking for, tell me what you like.

Tell me what you're talking about, tell me why you fight.

Never stop reaching for your dreams, try your best until you pursue

These dreams of passion and peace strengthen my soul

I'm thinking of this crazy world and my little girl,

I'm praying that she grows with strength to show the world her curls,

I'm hoping that she never stops dancing in a twirl,

And that someday she'll wear with pride her Grandmother's pearls

Tell me what you're in love with, tell me what you imagine

Tell me what you're life's about, tell me what inspires you

Tell me what you're seeing, tell me what you believe in

Why are these important? Tell me in your own way.

Tell me who you are, tell me why you cry

Know that God is with you, you will not be denied

I drastically miss my mom and brother.

I dream about her. I wish she could be with me.

What do you aspire to? Ponder your future.

Tell me what you guarantee. Tell me what you want to achieve.

Ask me what you reminisce about. Tell me what you need to complete in the world.

Tell me what you see. Tell me what you're feeling.

Tell me what you guarantee. Tell me what you want to achieve.

Ask me what you reminisce about. Tell me what you need to complete in the world.

Tell me what you see. Tell me what you're feeling.

Tell what you're reminiscing. Tell me where you went.

Tell me of the time we cuddled together, tell me of the time we flew together.

Tell where you went, I can't sleep at night. I can't think; it's not right.

Looking at the stars, how they are so far.

Your heart is red like planet Mars.

Tell me what you see, tell me why you hesitate.

Tell me if your life is complicated, or if you feel peril.

Life is just easy, don't be afraid, just be and unfurl.

I can see your mind, feel your soul, we all can do only as told.

Tell me what you're saying, put it on a list.

Tell me how you feel, tell me if you will.

I wish to become a home run king. I aspire to steal a base.

I aspire to be significant in life.

I wish my life will change.

I have good times with my friends.

I really love my family.

I miss my favorite cousin and she's deaf like me.

Tell me what you're reading, tell me what you love.

Tell me what you believe, tell me what you experience

Tell me what you ponder, tell me what you reminisce.

Tell me why you want me, tell me why you need me.

Tell me what you feel. Tell what you're gonna do.

Tell me what you should do. Tell what you dream.

I wish hearing and deaf people could listen and work together.

People with disabilities have a voice even when it's silent.

We can change the world, one step at a time

We’ll get closer to each step, like when you climb

Live out your life like it’s your one true love

Get out of the darkness and into the light,

Be good and you’ll be bright

I always try my best in the game

And that’s why I’m gonna be in the hall of fame

My name is Jay and I like to play

I remembered my beloved hometown, looking at photo albums of my friends

I am so alone, why am I so alone…

Then I just remember that it was all a dream

I love you!!!

My name is Andre, I like to play

I go to school everyday

I like games, playing is my happy

I watch kickin’ it, “wasabi.”

I am confident, that’s why I achieve

Don’t look down on yourself, you have to believe.

These are the things I do.

You’ll probably want to do it too.

I’m blue, blue so high

Lookin towards my future, it don’t lie

Light is shining, shining on my neck

Oh my god, it don’t life

Amazed I am, amazed how can flowers grow

Amazed roses are red, violets are blue

I’m amazed what some flowers can do

I’m amazed, oh amazed

Tell me what you see in you

Tell me what you think of you

Tell me what you think of school

When you see a stare do you think of you?

Tell me what you’re thinking, tell me if you like it

Are you happy, are you sad

Are you angry, are you excited?

Tell me, tell me, oh please do, tell me what you’re feeling.

Tell me what you're feeling, tell me what you do.

Tell me what you're unfurling, tell me what you hold.

I am thinking about my old friends.

I miss my cousin's birthday party.

Tell me what you do. Tell me everything is going to be alright.

Tell me what you're eating. Tell me what you like.

Tell me what you ponder about. Tell me I'm the one.

Tell me what why you love me, tell me why you don't.

Tell me what you see, tell me when you'll flee.

Tell me when you'll gape, so that we can escape.

Get out of reality, where we can be.

Tell me what you're reading, I'll tell you how you'll finish

Tell me what you feel. Tell me what you want to accomplish.

Tell me what you see, tell me what you feel.

Tell me what you loved so the next day you won't forget.

Tell me what you feel. Tell me what are your goals.

Tell me what you want to accomplish.

Know what your goal is, know what to achieve,

Do what's best to achieve your dreams.

First- You Need To THINK

Second- You Need To BELIEVE

Finally- DARE To Do It

"Let's join our dreams together, linking hands across the world."

This insane story, of love and tragedy;

"Another day of sunshine, another day of light" Keep adding your light to our global poem!

Tell me what you care about, ask me who I am

Tell me where the future lies, look into our hands

You are the inspiration, to a world so in need of you,

Fascinate them with expressions of wondrous words anew.

Tell me of your passion, tell me of your heart

"I am dreaming to change the world": Members of LitClubs in Kibera, Kenya added some of the amazing new lines of our poem

"I would love to be a superstar, I wish, I wish, I wish" Our superstar kids at the FLY program have made some amazing additions to our poem

"One of us is all of us; I am because you are." We've had some amazing new additions to our poem

I wish for the magic in her eyes to stay with me and our children

and their children, always.

Thank You for Helping Shape the Beautiful Global Poem for Change!

The many voices present in this year's poem represent the wonderful thinkers and writers of the world. The numerous submissions - from young and old, and all over the globe - made our hearts swell, and we hope the poem in its entirety produced the same effect for you.

We look forward to next year's Global Poem for Change, April 2012!

April 27: Let the words lift you high like a bird in the night sky

I send my words out into the air, listening for yours from everywhere.

I hear your heart with ancient beat. Your soaring mind your sprinting feet. Come with me to dreams uncharted. End your sadness Hope has started.

Your laughter fills my heart as the stars explode and our eyes connect, forever, from the first glimpse to the last breath.

Framed together in the same time and space, I reach towards a friendly embrace.

I want to catch your words Hold them in my hands Help you mold the change Our voice can build

Capture them in my heart, becomes knowledge that I impart to the young and old around...

Some will fall through fingertips. Some will land in hearts.

I hear your cries. I feel your dispair. I send my prayers to show I care.

I send my thoughts out from my heart A little step, but it's a start

Hoping these syllables connect hearts and minds in a singular prayer

I raise my voice in poetry to share the gift of literacy

Other words glide Upon the wings Of pure verses To wed themselves To your words

Worlds of stories, blooming around us!

Knowing that together we can make Our wonderful world a far better place

Words are like waves, traveling far and wide, they can lift your spirit, give you joy, a sense of pride.

Our words will connect us in so many ways and make the world a more peaceful place today.

Speak one word, one-thousand echoes

On currents, on wings, on prayers, in flight I send you my love with all my might.

I send these words in hope for peace. My fears and envy to release.

Wind carries your expressions back to me, lovely sounds echoing in our world's belfry.

For when I listen - you know I care...

These words essential as a breath, unite our souls, bring us true wealth.

A word said is a promise

With words we build proud members of the peace guild with words we break lets dialogue to remake with words you excoriate so lets make the world a better and safer place for all, lest we fall of the glory of Lord

Listening while hearing with the heart; we cannot make change if we don't all take a part

My soul vibrating with tender compassion for those hidden, yearning for simple beauty and truth.

I hear echoes that bounce from those silenced, what can I do to unbind those who are muted?

The time has come for all to hear Let's get together and banish fear

And our words will grow like a spring bloom reaching for the sun

Our words and stories are rain for blooming spring flowers.

I read poems aloud to kid today, replacing dislike with a big Okay!

Tell me, tell me, tell me mama a story from your heart let's make it up, let's dream, let's go lets go let's go mama to that place to build peace with our words.

Make sure those words are nice and kind. Show kindness in your life and good
friends you will find.

If one kind word brightens the world around us, imagine what a hundred kind words will do!

If only people realized their words truly shape and change everything in our world.

One kind word, one smile, one wink, could change the world, don't you think?

The sun will shine through the words and lit the dark side of our lives

Let's share a moment united together one voice, one heart linked forever

We sing a song of kindness to mother earth

Tell the tale, sing the song, share the gift; our words are Strong!

The language doesn't matter when speaking words of peace the love is heard in each persons heart.

An echo of words in every language; a colorful picture of voices

Make your message pure and sweet, play some music give it a beat, give them wings, give them roots, let them grow let them go, feel the joy and the strength of your energy well spent.

We must no longer be denied your voices, we need your beauty, truth, and choices.

Things in possession are better then those in anticipation

It is with hugs and helping hands that we will build bridges to cross our language divide -

From four corners blow the winds of change, carrying from every mountain range, our words - high and low,

And it is with our wisdom and wonder that we will teach the value of words,

Words that stir, words that drive, words that connect us all, and make us strive.

Words will soar from near to far filling hearts and opening minds –

I can hear you ever so softly- like a single falling snowflake before the blizzard.

Starting with one little syllable... one little word... I offer my peace to the world...

Spoken in love and respect in an effort to change the world,

Listening through love out of our innermost selves.

It is with a tear for your loss and a smile for our hope that we will speak of our futures.

Imagine, speak, write, create. Celebrate the power of words!

We will work together in many places; we hope to see joy on many faces.

We hope that girls and boys have many hopes and dreams,

I am no poet, but I know how to sing!

I want to hear what you can say through writing helps me to convey.

In the beginning was the Word; in the end, one little word.

A free life I shall live with no one to rule me, no one to stop me, a free life I shall live.

Change is in life so you will change once in your life.

Change is natural, but we help determine what changes.

You can make your dreams come true, first, start believing in you

There is much dark, but do not lose hope, for all that see a small spark of light are the ones who change the world.

Now we await the Galactic Age of Man--we who stand at its shadow-haunted Dawn.

Today is a changing day for a letter, a word, a sentence, or more for change.

My wonderful words change as I say them to you.

The animals and plants fall in despair, change is needed in the air.

Ducks are dying around the world, so clean up the oil--save their lives!

Make a better place, so don't litter, and there will be more space!

Come with me, let's go see, the Earth trash free.

I reply my words back out into the air, telling people from everywhere.

I hear it now, come with me.

Notes pass by when I see them in the sky.

The breeze heaved your echo and laid a melody, That envelops the depths and clothes with decency.

I reply my words back out into the air. I will listen trust me!

My eyes see you as you see me.

Your words sing to me far and wide, they take my hand and stand by my side.

My words of wisdom can change your look, but words can never change your beautiful heart.

Sing me your dreams in a lullaby

Words are fingers intertwined, weaving together your heart, your voice with mine

I caught your words carried on a breeze, calling to me, putting me at ease.

The sounds that echo through space and time; leave imprints that shape our growing minds;

Whisper of poetry, dissonance resonating into a million souls in harmony

Our God above who loves and stares will show us love and also care

How small our voice in the vastness;. How great one prayer to encompass!

I open my heart to others, knowing it will help another.

Who has learned from the past? Human preservatives couldn't make them last.

A building block upon many, trying to blank out the history of infamy.

Unfortunately, in some places, on this world, today, words are held back and chained, so the truth doesn't have a say.

Down, down, down, down the hill catch me if you can if you will

Rumbling under railroad tracks, a heartbeat speaks.

Empty words are just that - words; be sure that actions follow the speech.

where there is desire, there is ability

Listening in the wind, in the rain, in the trees - I scan the skies to find your words soaring toward me.

Straining ears hear passioned cries, strong young voices bring surprise

we both are meant to be, that everyone can see.

A heart that shines with glory. A shimmer that glistens stronger than the sun itself

Everyone and everything has a dance that they dance and a song that they sing It comes from within when its' real and true And nobody has one exactly like you.

cut from the sky a patch of blue, clip it to a star meant only for you

Sing, and the world will sing back to you in tens of billions of tongues.

You sweet little one I love you every day.

Our words are shared, felt and heard; thoughts connected and understood.

I hear thy words coming to me and I turn around to send mine back to thee

Carried by the wind to linger in the air, these words dance by your ears and caress your hair.

You are worthy, Jehovah God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things and because of your will they exist.

There is no WORLD without WORDS and change can come from remembering, thinking about and realizing them.

tomorrow's unspoken words so true, but can anticipate hearing the new thoughts paths they make

If we have the courage to tell our stories, we might transform our pain into new glories

The words send peace Love and care It also flows through the air

The Sky is beautiful Sometimes blue or grey No matter what color it is Like our words it will always be everywhere

These words are Yours These words are mine These Words are for everyone No one is alone and everyone is a part of this rhyme

Words can express many things Tick, Tock the bells going to ring I write day after day Which everybody ignores But I also can't believe I'll sitting here
Eating smores I can't practice no more They love me so much They buy me a bunch So happy that I'm Loved I feel like a dove My words express my heart It also can be used to express my art

Inspiration comes from the world Sometimes it takes so long But I will wait here Patiently for the words to come

So we spread respect everywhere We spread love everywhere We spread niceness everywhere We spread friendship everywhere

Behind my words, a whispered prayer to hear your voice and truly care.

Raindrops like mother nature's prayers for love and harmony

words, wonderful words

My word is just a seed But it grows

some crisp and sharp like granny greens, some soft and hushed, once whispers, reaching their own compelling crescendo for change

Listen within and you will see, the world includes you and me

They sing and dance from around the globe, telling a story of growth and love.

I send to you a smiling face, from inside in a light, bright, place.

Promises are nothing if they aren't followed up by actions.

as I send my words to the Sun, it floats on, to everyone

Lemon Drops squeeze my eyes, Till the morning air arrives

I let the peace hang in the air, listening to the love from everywhere

Up in the air, voices twinkle everywhere.

Trillions of people thinking of words."Oh look there's a poem."How did that get there?"

Words close but far

My word your echos Finally an answer echoing in the air

sometimes my words are like a tiger fierce and loud but sometimes like a bird with a faint distant kaw… from somewhere far away.

Be the mighty tiger roar and hear. Listen to the people and the ideas

Pencil, Crouches like a tiger, Hand hovering over page,

Come with me, and experiment

I hear your words here are mine, I said in reply. Actually I already wrote mine!

Your words are blossoming let them grow

River flowing You're still as a rock

The sun rays hitting me Telling me I should open up my mind

The branches of a tree reaching out ideas to me

My words soar from place to place like a bird across the sky

Night arising past the stars, voices crash down like meteoroids in to my mind.
I let my imagination soar looking for that bright, bright star Telling me I should open up my
mind

I love poetry, Sometimes you, My words are my only companions

There is nearly nothing to be seen, not even anything in between. How can there be anything we can see, when there's no experience even for me?

Without my arms, my lips, hands, voice, you only have my words but they are from the heart of love wrapped up in tales and poetry to help you see, feel, touch, the magic of a better world.

words can hurt and words can heal. Think carefully before you express how you feel.

Maybe empathy is what we need

I resolve to use my words to bring joy and passion to everything I do, say, feel.

life could change also you could change our world.

let us spread words which bring laughter to all those in doubt

The accelerating Spiritual Tolerance of the world is equal to the change between your radiating atonement, to my radiating atonement divided by the change of continuously smaller increments of time.

I seek and seek for words and letters.

Words swell up inside of me, and seek their chance, escape! Be free!

blue birds chirping in the sky you are so blue and happy in the world and so am I

shining stars make you smile, like a fancy apple with a new style

My life changes like day and night, and so do my experiences in this life-time.

I hope somehow and somewhere there are those who hear and care, and our voices join from here and there to take the time to really share

I sing you lullabies, I hear nature sounds. One day we'll be gone, but you will always be with me like a hand print on my heart.

I send my eyes out into the void, looking for yours within the nothingness.

I hear you... I try to see you, as I want to be seen, Know you, as I want to be known

Words change the world; let's change it today, allowing children to live in a brand new way

My words are nice, my words are good, I hope my words are understood.

My words, your words and their words, from my mouth, your mouth and their mouths, into our sky.

Let the words lift you high like a bird in the night sky

I hope these words will reach somewhere, where words are scarce and often rare

Words can pierce a heart as quickly as bullets, cut deeper than any knife. Thoughtful words can save a life.

Words spreading kindness everywhere.

Your words inspire mine, our beauty rises

Daffodils fill the world with peace, hope and joy.

April 25: I seek and seek for words and letters.

The sounds that echo through space and time; leave imprints that shape our growing minds;

Words are fingers intertwined, weaving together your heart, your voice with mine

I caught your words carried on a breeze, calling to me, putting me at ease.

The sounds that echo through space and time; leave imprints that shape our growing minds;

April 12: Sing, and the world will sing back to you in tens of billions of tongues.

The language doesn't matter when speaking words of peace the love is heard in
each persons heart.

An echo of words in every language; a colorful picture of voices

Make your message pure and sweet, play some music give it a beat, give them
wings, give them roots, let them grow let them go, feel the joy and the strength of your energy well spent.
