Sue Meigs was a great friend of LitWorld and champion of children everywhere. As the Director of Open Door (formerly Books for Boys), the very first LitWorld program, Sue dedicated her life to giving the children at Children’s Village the opportunity to read, not only as a necessary tool, but as a refuge. We hope you join us in honoring her legacy, and the way her life inspires us to uplift, share, and celebrate the transformative power of literacy for all children

About The Memory Keepers Project
The Memory Keepers Project nurtures resilience and empathy through intergenerational storytelling.
Children & teens follow our Memory Keepers Project lessons and guidance to interview elders in their communities for stories about their lives. The goal is to preserve stories creatively and humanely, using the teachings as a North Star to guide the participants into an ethical, caring, and resilient life of their own.
To send a donation by mail, make checks out to “LitWorld” and send to the address below. If you would like to talk with us personally about a legacy gift or to underwrite a project, please contact us here.
