LitMoms Clubs cultivate strong, confident, hopeful community leaders who believe in the power of story.
First piloted in 2012, LitMoms Clubs provide caretakers everywhere with the tools they need to support themselves and their families. These revolutionary programs offer members a safe space in which to explore their literacy and social emotional well being with the guided mentorship of a LitClub Leader.
LitMoms Clubs provide women of all social, economic and educational backgrounds with opportunities to:
Build a social support network within their community
Build confidence so that they are better able to actively and constructively engage with their own children
Acquire strategies that can support their children’s literacy development
Sustain and develop their literacy skills.
Today, LitMoms Clubs run in countries around the globe and have become an essential tool for supporting our partners. By giving mothers access to the entrepreneurial training, literacy empowerment, and social support that so many women are often denied, LitWorld helps women become leaders in both their homes and communities—creating change for generations to come.
